Ramadan Sehri and Iftar Timetable

Ramadan Sehri and Iftar Timetable — Step-by-Step Guide to Generate, Print & Download

During Ramadan, knowing exact sehri (suhoor) and iftar times for your location is essential. This guide shows you, step-by-step, how to create a reliable Ramadan Sehri and Iftar Timetable using an online widget. Follow these instructions to generate a timetable tailored to your city, print a poster, or download a shareable PDF.

What you’ll need

  • A browser (desktop or mobile).
  • Location services enabled (if you want automatic location).
  • Access to the Ramadan timetable page or widget on your site (the example UI appears above).

Quick overview (one-line)

  • Select Ramadan start date → choose calculation method → enter or detect location → click Generate Card → use Print or Download PDF buttons.

Step-by-step guide

  • 1. Open the Ramadan Sehri and Iftar Timetable page

Navigate to the page on your site titled Ramadan Sehri and Iftar Timetable. You’ll see a form with fields for date, calculation method, latitude & longitude, and action buttons (Use my location, Generate Card, Reset, Print, Download PDF).

    2. Choose the Ramadan start date

    • Click the date field and pick the first day of Ramadan (or the date you want the timetable to begin).
    • Use the calendar picker to avoid typing errors — the timetable generator uses this date to compute daily sehri and iftar times.

    3. Select the calculation method

    • There are different calculation methods (e.g., Karachi, Umm al-Qura, ISNA, MWL).
    • Pick the method commonly used in your country or community. This affects how Fajr/Maghrib times are calculated for sehri and iftar.
    • Tip: If you’re unsure, choose the method your local mosque or Islamic authority uses.

    4. Enter your location (latitude & longitude) or use automatic detection

    • Manual: Type latitude and longitude into the fields (example formats: 28.6139, 77.2090).
    • Automatic: Click Use my location. Allow the browser to access your location — the widget will fill latitude/longitude and may display your city.
    • Why location matters: Sehri and iftar times depend on precise sunrise/sunset and twilight computations which change by coordinates.

    5. Generate the Ramadan card

    • Click Generate Card.
    • The page will compute daily sehri and iftar times for the entire month starting from the date you selected, using your chosen calculation method and location.
    • Verify the displayed timetable — check the first few and last few dates to ensure they match local mosque announcements if available.

    6. Print your Ramadan Sehri and Iftar Timetable

    • Click Print on the page. A print preview will appear.
    • Choose orientation: Landscape often fits timetables better.
    • Set paper size (A4 or Letter) depending on your needs.
    • Use Print Preview to check margins; enable background graphics if your card uses colors or borders and you want them printed.
    • Click Print to produce a physical copy. Hang it in community spaces or distribute printed cards.

    7. Download as PDF

    • Click Download PDF. The widget will generate a downloadable PDF of the timetable (formatted as the page/card).
    • Save it with a clear name like Ramadan_Sehri_Iftar_Card.pdf.
    • You can now share the PDF by email, WhatsApp, or post it on social media and your mosque’s website.

    8. Reset and regenerate

Use the Reset button to clear fields and start again if you made a mistake (wrong date, wrong method, or wrong coordinates).

Troubleshooting & tips

  • Location not detected: Make sure the browser has permission to access location. On desktop, Chrome/Firefox will ask for permission in the address bar.
  • Times differ from local mosque: Reconfirm the calculation method (some mosques use local sighting). If needed, switch the method to match local announcements.
  • Print trims edges: Adjust margins in print settings or select “Fit to page.”
