- Online application: Benefactors can now electronically choose their preferred location within the mosque to distribute Iftar meals.
- Approved caterers: Only catering companies accredited by the Mecca mayoralty or food establishments authorized by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority can be contracted.
- Meal limitations: Individual benefactors can provide a maximum of two Iftar “banquets,” while charitable organizations can offer up to ten.
- Food specifications: Meals must be dry and consist of coreless dates, cake, pie, and juice. Specific packaging guidelines will be announced online shortly.
