Saudi Arabia Bans 30 Items for Umrah Pilgrims: All You Need to Know

A list of 30 items that passengers cannot carry in their bags has been announced by King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. Passengers will not be allowed to claim these banned goods once they are confiscated by airport authorities upon detection. These dangerous and prohibited items should not be included in the baggage of departing Hajj pilgrims.

  18. Radioactive Materials

Safety Measures for Departing Hajj Pilgrims: Banned Items at King Abdulaziz International Airport

Knives, gases in containers, harmful liquids, sharp objects, baseball bats, electric skateboards, explosives, and firecrackers are among the items on the list that could pose safety risks.

Understanding the Restrictions: 16 Prohibited Items in Airplane Cabins

There are 16 items that are specifically prohibited in airplane cabins. Aside from the items mentioned earlier, these prohibited items include firearms, magnetic items, radioactive materials, and dangerous equipment such as nail clippers, scissors, and large knives.

Airport Baggage Regulations: 14 Materials Not Allowed in All Baggage

In addition, 14 materials are prohibited from all baggage at the airport. There are many substances that can cause a fire, including chemicals, radioactive materials, electric shock devices, devices that can disable others, electric skateboards, liquid oxygen containers, materials that can spread infectious diseases, matches, lighters, and flammable liquids.

Strict Enforcement: Retrieval Not Permitted for Confiscated Prohibited Items

These restrictions are taken very seriously by the airport authorities. It will not be possible to reclaim any of the 30 prohibited items, which include compressed gases, explosives, firecrackers, fake weapons, magnetic items, and corrosive materials.
