Narrated Ibn Umar رضي الله عنه stated:

“Allaah’s Messenger ﷺ has made Sadaqat-ul-Fitr compulsory, (and it was), both one Saa’* of barley or one Saa’ of dates (and its fee was compulsory) on younger and outdated individuals, and on free males in addition to on slaves.”

THE MEASUREMENT OF A SA’A FOR THE ZAKAAT AL-FITR IN KILOGRAMS
